It's a great addition though- I wish I had it when I bought the other kit- though that kit looks great too- I just made a custom decal from a scan of the cobra-head as illustrated in the Trek Encyclopedia (it's a Sternbach I'll, IIRC).

Sorry mate,

Knew exactly what you meant, but my English let me down and you've just put it perfectly. This was made for, probably, the most detailed model out there and it was 1/3125. If the part fits and there's demand I can always scale down the details to match the styrene kit.

Quite alright-
I really think most details should be in decal at this scale anyway, considering that a .05 mm sheet styrene would be several feet tall.
Only the spine shuttle Bay and Torpedo launcher trench should be on the part to match the "smoothie" look of the styrene kit.

But to each their own- a lot of people like the chunky look.

Here's the VA Cobra-head with custom decaling.

Please excuse the crappy pic- phone cameras have come a loooong way in the years since I took this...

With decals that VA cobrahead looks very good!

Thanks- it's just the top view illustration from the ST Encyclopedia with some minor tweaking in Photoshop to get it to fit perfectly.

I would love to have a 2500 seperating Galaxy Class...

To the point where I was gonna build one in 3D with all the details from the studio model haha. No decals needed just a paint brush and lots of patience...
