L-24 Ever-Victorious Battleship

Post by Griffworks »

This is the SciFi Skunkworks 1/2500 resin kit. Sadly, it's long Out of Production. It's one of my favorite Klingon designs from the old FASA Star Trek Starship Combat Simulator.

The model is cast in white resin and one piece. It's roughly 5" / 12.5 long and 3.5" / 9cm wide. This is another that I'd love to see in 1/1000 scale. Maybe one day....

I've contacted someone about the possibility of a 3D model being built for the sake of printing. I'd love to get one built for my collection.

Still lots of work to do on this one, obviously.

Wow !
That is an astonishing level of detail . I'd happily just leave that in its primer coat just to gaze in wonder upon it .

That the modeler got that much detail off a FASA drawing is amazing. Wonderful job.

Griffworks,

I like the look of the design, too! It looks like the D7's bigger, meaner brother; almost the Empire's Dreadnaught! This would be cool to see in a larger size!

Are you gonna paint it or just gaze on it like NoKhando?!

Steve

BTW, I found you on Imgur! You should post there, too!

I concur with the Master Sergeant's comments. The D-7's big, badass brother.
Three photorp tubes on the bow and I see three rings aft which I suppose could be photorp tubes, they just need to be drilled out a bit deeper.
The angular structure on the rear is close to that seen on the Vor'Cha so, to my mind anyway, she falls somewhere between TOS and STTNG in the timeline.
Definitely looks formidable.
Add a third nacelle and you've got a dreadnought.

Yeah this is a beauty of a ship, both in design and execution

You know, when I came up with the backstory for my USS Abaddon dreadnought I envisioned it taking on multiple Klingon battleships in combat. In my imagination I conjured up some ideas of what such battleships might look like and, guess what, they looked a lot like the Ever-Victorious!

I have tried to get this guy to make it available to the public but without success. I think that this guy is either justicar or slawton but I am not sure. I have inquired with slawton about releasing his stuff as well but he said that he was currently busy with other projects. :|
