I do believe an 1/2400 model exists. It will be a waterline war gaming mini.

GHQ model, it is evil bay.

Does anyone do a seperate weapons pod from the Reliant?
I may start delving into the realms of kitbashing now that some of my skills are improving. There are a few ships I could improve with a new pod with a little imagination.

I kind of like the Yamato design on Shapeways, but it would be a very large ship in 1/2500 and for the time period it would represent with the mixed Excelsior (twin secondary hulls) and refit (nacelles) parts. The size of 5.1 inch I think would be too small for 1/2500. The length of the Excelsior secondary hull in 1/2500 is 4.1 inch from the Gizmotron model and the Excelsior saucer is 2.5 inch in diameter. But, this design has a different saucer design and has to be bigger in diameter.

Looking at the 3D representation on Shapeways the width of the saucer needs to be great than two Excelsior secondary hulls plus space between and space on each side. Each secondary hull in 1/2500 is 0.9 inch wide and the space between the two appears to be 3/4 of one width, so you have 2.4 inch out to out for the secondary hulls. The additional width on each side of the secondary hulls for the saucer width is about 1/2 of a secondary hull or about 0.45 inch each side for a total width of 2.4+0.45+0.45 = 3.3 inch diameter. There is also a small gap between the saucer and the secondary hulls front to back, I think about 0.1 inch in 1/2500 scale.

Based on measurements/guesses the total length of this design in 1/2500 would be approximately 4.1+3.3+0.1=7.5 inch.

I was wondering the same thing with an accurate 2500 Nebula pod. The one that comes with the VA kit is just wrong.
