Complete: Future USS Galaxy AMT/ERTL/Starcrafts in 1/1400 Scale

Hi!

Gracias . Well You're right: it's a huge area on this ship. This time I sprayed all parts with german Revell 374 color first. Then it's a hand job with light grey (german Revell 371). Phasers were painted with Humbrol (forgot the number), all another colors are german oil colors from Revell too, like 378, 12, 753, 755...

I'm not a big fan of all that decal coating over whole ship space, so I have to make it handy . But it's very hard job on most kits, only AMT's 1400 scale D and E are very well for it.

Hi!

Still alive and still working on this kit. Two week ago I hat a lot of time for this. So here are some results at this moment: the upper section was painted the 2nd time with light grey. Now I have co clean up with normal grey some errors. Flat black sensor arrays were added. Also I painted the engines with light grey too. And the ship stand was midifited too.

Upcoming work is really difficult: I have to paint the neck of the engine section and the 3rd pylin holder too. Have many reference pics of ths studio parts here on my PC for it.

Still have to aks for some replacement parts from Starcraft, find on eRevell/Monogram Voyager 1/667 sensor strip from the saucer for the main section torpedo tower and still looking for AMTs big Defiant decals...

I like the Aztec colouring, very similar to mine.

I always thought it looked greener onscreen but the yellowish paint I used was called duck egg blue all the same.

Hi!

Always only painting is very boring. So my idea yesterday was just to decal some parts even where I was. Done with payting. It's amazing, how much better the ship or even the parts are looking just with a simple red decal strip Love it. Hat to coat all fresh decals and well to paint the ship again.

Hi!

The ship is still under construction @Utopia Planitia. Today I painted again the whole aztec (!) of the primary hull with both colors. After them I installed both main phaser banks there und added some decals. But the most importand thing is the naming of the ship. Enough words...just see the pics belong.

Btw Sir Patrick Steward will return as Picard again!!! Awesome!!!

Hello!

Less painting, but more decaling. Done with lifeboats according to the instruction of AMT 656, but I'll add a few of them later. Tomorrow I'll paint the ship again...

Since last post I decaled the ship and was painting too. Today I glued the battle section. But the engines are still not connected to the secondary body.
