Well my eyes are fixed. I can read the menus and buttons in Blender now. I told myself: "Self, when you can do that learn the puppy."
So here I stand. Does anyone have any good recommendations for books on Blender? The curve of learning is steep.

Re: Blender
I gave up on Blender long ago. Sure you can do professional stuff with it, but the interface is all but intuitive, and I could not found any useful tutorial (at that time) that helped me on the steep learning curve.
I am evaluating Rhino, which uses a much more intuitive approach, and I found some good tutorials, although not always I am being able to replicate what I see on the tuts, lol... But it is way easier to create complicated curves and make a 3d model from them.
I am using it as a step before editing them on Metasequoia which is not as easy to do such things. I still cannot do all the work on Rhino, just because I did not mastered the tool yet, but I think I will get it sooner or later.

My experience with them has been mixed. Some are good, some are not.

Re: Blender
It's not Manuel Bender, it's Bender J. Rodriguez
Aaaaah, "Blender," not "Bender." And "manual," not Manuel. My mistake...
LMK how well Blender works for you. I've heard mixed reviews. Seems like only wizards can make Blender work for them, and I'm not much farther than a newbie

It has a user interface only a mechanical engineer could love.
