New Trek Reliant

Postby patrickivan » Tue Aug 09, 2016 4:56 pm

I was thinking that the New Trek universe (sorry, Kelvin Universe), would be a better place to use the original concept of the Reliant.

Here's my take on the original Reliant concept and twisted into the KU. Yes. It's bigger...

I'm not sure I like the pod, so will just say it's a modular detachable unit. And yes, a TL will fit in those pylons. It's bigger...

Interesting design. I don't see what makes it a KU ship versus a prime universe ship (other than the size). The nacelles and pod could fit right in.

A big question for me is why can't I see the images you embed in your original post. I have to grab a link (usually by quoting you) and paste it on my browser... :?

Hmmm that's odd... all of the ones I post, or just recently?

Hope someone else can pop up here and note if they have a problem

As for the ship, I guess the size, the saucer has the same bridge type elements that sweep far aft. I think the slightly bulbous nacelles and swoopy blendy lines.

But ya, I still have trouble new trekking ships lol

I noticed it on this and your Star Wars ship thread.

I suppose the "problem" lies with me. When I think of a JJverse ship design, I'm thinking more Kelvin rather than the JJprise

Thanks, but it is an issue with my browser, and I have a workaround, so its not a big deal...
