For everything Star Trek related, that isn't covered by the other forums.

Finished applying the decals to the bottom of the ship last night and started applying them to the top :)
I must admit she's scrubbing up rather well!

I couldn't resist having a quick mess around in Photoshop :D

Not the best, but it is a quick job, me trying to be sneaky in work!

Morning all!!

So I managed to add a few more decals to the top of the saucer, and a bit more around the model. Not much left for me to do now, just some more window and detail decals here and there :)

Making a start...

I covered her in Microsol... that stuff is amazing!!

Not much left now :) Once all the decals are on she will have one (or more) complete coat of Microsol, then a clear matt finish.
I must admit she is looking mighty fine now and I'm quite proud of myself 8-)

Need to order the stand for her soon too!

Almost there.

Thanks for looking guys

I concur.

Added in the final details tonight, some windows round the edge of the saucer and a couple other things too.

Bit of a mini disaster right at the end though; I gave her another coat of Microsol and accidentally scraped the underside registry off! :o
However I was able to salvage it as I had spare numbers on the decal sheet, I only needed a 7, 0 and 1 in the end.

What's left for me to do?

Give her a coat a clear Matt and get her mounted on the stand (gotta order the stand though, so I'm not finished just yet). Not forgetting to fill in some of those windows too :)

I've really enjoyed working on my Enterprise D and am proud of how she's turned out :D I'm glad she's no longer stuck at the bottom of a box in a cupboard somewhere, she will soon be on proud display!

There are a few imperfections and I probably would have done some things differently but overall I couldn't be happier. Considering too that this is the first time in a few years I've had another crack at modelling (not including the rescue of my Bird of Prey which really didn't need much doing to it)

As I've said I'm not quite finished just yet, so watch this space, i'll do my best to post some better shots.

For now though she's as complete as I can make her!

Thanks to all of you for your advice too, it is most appreciated :)

Good night \V/

Ventral registration scrapped off?

Not a total loss.
