Sticks to yer ribs.
There are Times, Sir, when men of good Conscience cannot blindly follow orders. You acknowledge their sentience, but ignore their personal liberties and freedoms. Order a man to hand over his child to the state? Not while I"m captain.

Started in with pastels at lunch today. I reaaaally like this color called Burnt Blue.
There are some almost turquoise blues on some of the hull plates that like this color in particular.
I also am using Soot, Gunmetal, Orange Rust, Rust (Dark Brown), Snow, Silver, Oil Stain, and Burnt Red.
I think the Burnt Red will look real nice on the cloak ring around the front of the command pod. May even rub some over the transparent red of the warp/impusle engines like around the edges.

Gagh.
It's whats for dinner.

I am WAY behind on reading some of these contest entry threads. It looks like there is some excellent info in this one (LOVE the clear window technique), and I hope to get a chance to review in more detail.

Of course, one of the nice things about AST is that old threads are not purged, so I know I can always come back to review at a later date. Thanks to Xen for that little bonus. You can search these threads and find all KINDS of treasure.

Build looks really great so far, Trekriffic!

Thanks Kratok!

Couldn't resist posting some photos of the model lit up with some more parts installed...

The cabin windows were also unmasked:

Looks pretty close to the screencap IIDSSM:

I expect to spend a few more days on the weathering.

Instant eye candy wins again! :) That grill makes it look vicious and spoiling for a fight.
