Very nice job, Steve!
I love the "modern" 60's design (theoretical dihedrals and all!)!
The thing I liked about the cartoon was the comic-book quality of each of the animation cells! Your pic tends to capture that essence!

You know, as a young lad, I never considered the aerodynamic shortcomings of those highly upward slanted back wings. The tail though, I always wondered about. Maybe it doubles a sail. The wind can function as a backup power source in case the jet engines give out
