Postby moonlightdrive21 » Mon Aug 05, 2013 12:32 am

Hey gang:

Below are highlights of the Jerseyfest Model & Art Contest occurring on September 14th, including pictures of some of the trophies, plaques and prizes. More will be added in the coming weeks.

Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be given for selected entries as decided by the judges (i.e., “open judging system”). There are no categories for these awards and no competing between modelers. Model figures, busts, vehicles, mecha, gundam, steampunk, dioramas, scratch builds, sculpts, repainted statues, etc. all qualify.

In addition, the “Special Awards” described below will be categorized and competed for.

Awards and prizes for the contest will be announced in a separate room at approximately 5:30PM on Saturday night. The ceremony will be hosted by Terry Webb from Amazing Figure Modeler Magazine.

Strict security will be in place to watch over and ensure that only you can retrieve your pieces.

It is acceptable for attendees to submit their buildup kit(s) or replica props for the exhibit and request that they NOT be included in the contest.

TROPHIES & PLAQUES:

Steve Wang Best Predator Trophy
For best paint job/composition of a Predator kit (figure or bust) or diorama. Steve Wang will pick out the winner, sign the trophy and give it to the winner at the awards ceremony.
