Decal Solvent and Set

Honestly for me those additives are pure BS to make modelers spend more money and won't do any miracle if your decal set is crap. And if your decals are good, well... then you don't need any additive.

I have tried Microset and Microsol (I had a bottle of each till I dump it) and they wasn't of any help. Never.

I haven't got to that part yet so cannot speak from experience but if you are going to coat with a laquer or a coat of Finish then I don't see why water and carefulness won't do the job.
But I have bought some Microsoft and Microsol just in case.

I used something when I was younger. I thought it was Solvaset, but recent results aren't the same. The stuff I used way back then made the decal crinkle up like it had been boiled. I thought I had ruined my model and left it, figuring I'd clean it off the next day and start over. When I returned later, that decal looked like it had been painted on. Laid down perfectly flat, unwrinkled, and beautiful. really wish I could remember what I used.
