Greetings from England

Postby Herne99666 » Tue Dec 27, 2016 6:07 pm

Hi everyone, I'm Alan, I'm 56 and have been model making since 1967! To say I have more than a few models would be an understatement! Currently getting on for about 2,000. Mainly aircraft but also Tanks , Ships and Spacecraft. Over time I have collected a large number of Star Trek, Star Wars and other Sci fi models. I tend to go for the ships rather than the figures. Aside from model making I am also a keen flight simmer and have a massive "virtual hangar on the PC", including several ST Shuttlecraft. Other interests include reading, history , aviation,(I used to fly light aircraft as a hobby before I met my ex and the money ran out!). I love music, (all sorts of stuff from Beethoven to Death Metal!) Movies are another big interest and I have hundreds on DVD and VHS. I served in the Merchant Navy when I left school and saw a large part of the world before being laid off in 1982 due to the Iran /Iraq war starting and the Persian Gulf becoming a no go area. I could say more but I can now visualise your eyes all glazing over! Good to meet you all.
Anyway, that's me for now. I shall post some pics of recent projects soon.

Welcome Aboard Herne 99666! I'm sure we're all looking forward to seeing what you've created in your lifetime, and we all wish to bask in your knowledge and experience.
