New Guy From Chicagoland

Postby Schalldampfer » Fri Nov 11, 2016 2:46 am

Hey everybody! Just found out about this site. Can't believe I haven't seen it before. I have been building models for the past 20 or so years. Since I am a huge fan of Star Trek I have focused on Starships. However, I also build aircraft, military, and automotive models occasionally. I have also slowly been collecting ships involved in the battle of Wolf 359. Here are a few of those.

U.S.S. Yamaguchi (AMT ProShop kit. I bought this brand new in the late 90's)

U.S.S. Kyushu (resin kit I got many years ago)

U.S.S. Discovery (copied the Nebula Class kitbash that was originally the Melbourne. Made a change to remove the small extra warp nacelles and replace with a sensor pod. Decided since the Melbourne was changed to an Excelsior class in DS9, the hull we see is actually this ship.)

I am currently working on the new AMT/Round 2 Excelsior and will name it the Melbourne. I also have a studio scale Kyushu in process.

Besides these models I have many others to be built or refurbished in the Star Trek realm and other subjects. I look forward to posting up my models and sharing my knowledge with you all.

Welcome Aboard!

Those are some mighty fine looking models you've made. 8-)
There are Times, Sir, when men of good Conscience cannot blindly follow orders. You acknowledge their sentience, but ignore their personal liberties and freedoms. Order a man to hand over his child to the state? Not while I"m captain.
