Shelf Cleaning 3 (yea, pictures)

For everything Star Trek related, that isn't covered by the other forums.

Shelf Cleaning 3 (yea, pictures)

Post by Tesral »

We move away from the scale models and into 1/1

United Planets blaster: The "first" Star Trek movie, or perhaps Star Trek is better called Forbidden Planet the series. This is from Museum Replicas, a place better known for swords and armor.

Phaser 2b. My favorite. I ended up with two of these. They are the Diamond Select models. One a gift the otherI bought.

OK I like it. This is a resin model I had to put together and paint. Automotive rattle can. Nice and durable. I don't remember who cast it.

This one is old. It is acrylic, carved. The model is by Isher Weapon shops, they operated mainly in the 70s and 80s. They made many very pricy things from acrylic. Blasters, fancy to plain and even swords. This one lights, it uses a red grain of rice bulb. A simple chip flickers the light.

More props.

Communicators: The two left and center are Art Asylum. The one to the right is a weird bird. The moire is a sticker, but it has a digital clock under it, and a calculator under that. Nope, no idea. I didn't save the box.
comm.JPG
ST Enterprise Set. Phase Pistol and Communicator. Sadly the phase pistol no longer works, and replacements are way too pricy. One of these days I'll want it fixed badly enough to risk destroying it.
Ent.JPG
Phaser 2 TOS. Black handle and white handle. Again Art Asylum.

The Last of the props. That is shelf two. The last two are kind of sparse since the dragons mostly moved to the basement.

Klingon Disruptor: Klingons drink left handed because their weapons are strictly right handed.
Disrupter.JPG
The Tricorder. One of the most Star Trek things there is. Science Tricorder.

The lower bay.

And closed
SciTri3.JPG
And last McCoy's medical tricorder with the famous Fineberger.

Nice set of props! I only have the AA TOS phaser. Maybe some day I'll get a TOS communicator.

The toys I always wanted as a kid. The AMT Star Trek Exploration Set was sad beyond reason. Tiny, wrong shaped junk I never spent money on. I made my own as best I could. Only the Communicator survives.
