I bought this about four years ago at Just 4 Fun (formerly The Hobby Hub) in Lansing.

Power source is three LR44 button batteries contained in the smaller unit.

I got a kick out of seeing them release versions of this with all the different color schemes seen in TOS... although I'm not sure if the "bronze" handle one ever actually made an appearance.

It did. I have the gray handle and the white handle phasers.

I got some parts broken on mine; trying to repair them - the bits that protrude up depending on what you push and pull. How do you take off the retaining circle on the front of the Phaser 2 emitter?
