ST:D Discovery Warp Nacelles

Postby patrickivan » Fri Aug 11, 2017 2:53 pm

When I was a little kid, I asked my mother: what will I be? Will I be pretty?

Wait- no... When I was a little kid, we had cadillacs. 60's, 70's, and 80's. Cadillacs.

And on the top hood fenders, there are these little light indicators that let you know your signal or lights are on. Kinda neat little feature. I liked them.

My point is, they've always seemed Trekky to me.

And STD has made my childhood dream come true in the form of Warp Nacelles on the Discovery.

Yes, it's a stretch. Literally. Turn them upside down and stretch them out, and they're pretty close!

I have a good imagination.

What do YOU see in the Discovery?

haha @elgato
good one.

what's the bet, to be 'where no trek's gone before'
ST:D has a 'revolving restaurant bistro bridge' - ie,
it rotates around the middle too,
and the mainviewer spins unless it has stuff on the display...
:x

she flies like a steakhouse yet handles like a bistro...
"curse you again gravity!" Capn Brannigan, in 'attack of the snu-snu".

That upper pic in el gato's post just gave me a mental image of something from Disney's Tomorrowland exhibit.
it would fit perfectly with the aesthetics of the place.

edit: also a great place to put a space themed restaurant!
i don't know. I'm making it up as I go.
