Romulans (Updated + Dominion Minion)

For everything Star Trek related, that isn't covered by the other forums.

Next one I'll be detailing is the popular Romulan Shadow. It's amazing the difference the textures make.

....which is (thanks Memory Beta)

The Shadow class was a type of Romulan starship in operation in the late 24th century.
This class of vessel was only present for the elite of the Romulan Star Empire's forces; namely the Tal Shiar who's operations required a vessel more suited for covert operations. Their secretive nature meant that the Shadow class cruisers contained the most advanced technology available, which was all classified to such an extent that members of the Romulan Senate were not 'officially' aware of the vessels existence. They were equipped with weapons to protect itself in battle.

Considering who controls such class of vessels, the Shadow class were known to carry several experimental technology that were not available within the Romulan fleet. A psychonic generator was installed that would be fired from the deflector dish that was capable of piercing the shields of a ship and killing the crew within. While an efficient energy convertor was present within the ship that allowed it to convert the ships own energy reserves to reinforce the shields of friendly vessels. Furthermore, the ship showcased the Romulan attempts at holographic technology which was in the form of a holoemitter that was capable of altering the sensor profiles of enemy ships which would bring enemy ships firing on each other as they believed each other to be enemies. Finally, a working Interphase generator was present on the ship that allowed it to move, while cloaked, through matter by phasing by solid objects

Like the others it's un-scaled and is going to be 6cm long. I couldn't find any details on the ships actual size unfortunately.

They're all from the Star Trek PC games such as Armada. I'm just turning the textures into physical objects and making the meshes look pretty.

They're also all available if anyone wants them.....just shoot me a pm.

you can always multi-post in the other ast sub-forums you feel might folks go to and would want to have a look. we don't have any rule on 'here or there' that i am aware of. gaming doesn't get much love, but 1/2500 and classifieds do.

6cm, just over 2inches. not really the size the modelling types want, but gamers will love them. the dom one looks like some kind of breen scout at 1/2500.

try starship [ugh, wtheck is that place called?] not ssm, not starship creations. they have a forum solely for sci-fi ships in gaming scales.

edit; the star ranger forums was the one i was thinking of.

Getting there and the wings are finished (top & bottom). I'd like to go 100% with adding all the panelling but with the model being 6cm it would all be at the 0.1mm level. For ref the feathers are only 0.3mm high.

Finished, had to stop myself going utterly mad on the panelling, but really happy with the transformation.

i do love a good comparison pic. :innocent:

my 'in the wrong scale' alarm is going off though. they all look like they should be bigger or smaller for the fleet, if they to be in the same scale.

with the exception of the last one, that is in grey. i forgot what race it belongs to. it's cool looking, but it has me at a loss as to which race should command this vessel.

Excellent work, Marc. That is is fine addition to the fleet
