Romulans

For everything Star Trek related, that isn't covered by the other forums.

Romulans

Postby marcnoonan » Thu Jun 01, 2017 2:25 pm

Hi All,

One for the Rommie fans, I recently converted some ships from Star Trek Armada 2 Ops add-on for a client and unless you've played the game it's unlikely you'll have seen them. The models are unscaled and were more blocky than lego so refining was the main job and the client didn't want any of the details from the textures adding.

I should be doing another 4 Rommies and 1 Dominion ship from the game shortly.

Enjoy

Scale? These things matter.

neat! thanks for sharing Marc!
any chance of the griffin, shrike (double hull), harpy, and raptor from Armada 1 too?
those'd be great for a tabletop rommie fleet!

at 4cm for the generix,
which is proximately the same nose to tail dimensions as the griffin...
that makes it 40mm: ~355m scale, (ex astris suggests up to 375m)
or 1:~76XX scale,
which is near enough for most stuff to 1:4848ish scale for gaming.
as these are all consistent with one another,
they'd all be near 1:76XX scale.

Thanks for the scaling Koba.

I've previously done all the others for a member on here but deleted all the uploads on Shapeways because they were done when I first started and were very basic meshes. I've got over 30 pages of stuff on Shapeways and try only to keep the pretty stuff. ;)
