How do you define yourself while modeler?

Postby NCC1966 » Thu Sep 22, 2016 2:42 pm

In this big community of grown up dudes and girls that still keep playing with small toys each one of us has a particular preference. At one extreme there are the conservatives that follow instructions and limit themselves to what came into the original box. I am not in shame to admit that I am among these ones. At the other side there are those that prefer to create fantastic things from raw stuff. And there are the ones that stay in the middle. To which group do you think you belong to???

I'd probably mostly fit into the Dare Modder category although Abusive Kitbasher can also apply for particular builds.

I range between OOB and Dare Modder catagory - at least for two of three of the last four builds!

Amazing! Now that I think about it, I never thought of myself as a Modder; just a builder of average skills! 8-)

Huh. Learn sumpthin new everyday!

Dare for the most part and only in specific instances. I don't like building the same model even though I have multiple kits of the same subject. In some cases the stock kit could be "improved" with some modifications. So I like to add a little bit of variance where I can

Mostly a Kitbasher, with the occasional foray into Crazy Scratchbuilder.

I do all of it. Conservative to full scratch fever. I have one of each on the bench right now.
