Trekriffics builds

Post by mophius »

I am moving chat from Trekriffics gallery thread to here to keep the gallery clutter free.

I remember following along some of these builds and always learning!

Great job!

I wonder if it would be allowed to post a link in the write up allowing people to go back and review the build. Just a thought.

Thanks again for sharing your work!

Actually if you click on the model's name in blue text in "Topic" for each image there is an embedded link to the original WIP/finished thread. I learned about doing that from Kremin.
You can carry on chatting either here or in each individual build thread.

EDIT.

As Trekriffic has stated below chat or questions are meant to be here or in the linked threads where the main build details are.
Sorry for not making that clearer.

Just to clarify, my understanding of the gallery rules is that chats should be posted her in the Gallery Chat section and NOT in the build threads. "Chatters" can make reference to the model name and author perhaps along with the GID number.
Xen's intention, as I read it, is to keep the individual gallery threads clean with just the images themselves.

my apologies guys.

i know it's hard to work out and no-one here was at fault. just overly eager to praise someones work, and that is never a bad thing.

i will try to make it better. consider this a beta.

'likes' options or something where comments can be 'rolled' down or pop out [or something] can all be implemented -if- this doesn't work and/or folks don;t like the format.

like i said, just treat it as a beta, and remember, most things can be undone and 'back to normal'. :)

i hope you enjoy. please do leave feedback though or contact me directly on how to improve the gallery sections and format.

the number 1 question i foresee is;

q; 'why does is have to be limited and not a normal gallery?'

a; 'it's a 'teaser' of eye candy . breadcrumbs / links can take you back to the scales are where start-to-finish threads have been bookmarked and people are used to. so that it doesn't end up with people leaving the scale sections and posting here [if it were normal, as many pics as you like].

i have included some pics to show off how it might look. the only rule i want to try to stick to is the no chat within the galleries rule. i want to see what a seamless gallery format looks like.

example; viewtopic.php?f=103&t=4887

While I've always considered this meme to be hilarious, I wish its creator would've used the word "defiled," "besmirched" or some other word than "violated." I get it, in Trek there's always the discussion about "violating" the prime directive, but in this context that word makes Picard sound like a rapist or a sexual offender, which he is clearly not.

But back on OT, Trekriffic, what technique do you use so that your pencils color with such a light touch? I'm afraid any kind of pressure would put stress on a model that might crack a seam or something...
