Re: Roud 2 New 1/1000 scale Oberth and BoP for 2018.

If this is something R2 is considering, I hope they would choose to build new ones from the 1000 scale version. That E-B kit is garbage Worst of the lot. Soft, difficult to assemble and looks awful. The reason I do not have one on the shelf. Who in god's name makes a kit that size without guiding p...

My shortcut was to buy the Hallmark ornament and remove the electrical stuff and putty it over

Re: What's in store for... aw, who's counting?

I believe they also refused to show the Constitution refit for the asinine reason that they believed if people saw it on tv they'd be less likely to watch it in theaters. The same logic was used to keep the Sovereign and even the Intrepid off DS9 (only breaking the rule once with the Bellerophon). A...

Re: Nothing Really Going On Here

I do have to say subsequent shows have steadily strayed away from treating the hero ship like a character. In TOS and TNG, the Enterprise was a character. So much so that to me the saddest scene in the movies is the self-destruct sequence in ST: III. It's not even the grey lady, it's the Refit, but...

Re: Brand New News from Round2

But the correct answer is that the Defiant was 170 meters long bc that's the measurement that lines up correctly with the modified Hallmark ornament I use as part of my 1/1400 fleet

Re: Brand New News from Round2

Shhhhh! Not so loud! The size of the Defiant is a sensitive topic 'round here... WHO DARES DISTURB MY SLUMBER WITH THEIR DEFIANT BLASPHEMY!!! Told ya! Hey I love the Defiant. I just don't know why it was so hard for the DS9 VFX crew to nail down something as simple as how big it and the...

Re: Another Equinox

Nicely done! She turned out looking great, particularly the hull color. This ship, along with an Intrepid-class Voyager are two I'd love to see in 1/1000 scale. The hull color is just a rattle can of Testor's Dark Aircraft Gray. I used it once to do the basecoat my TOS Enterprise and I really liked...
