Re: Federation Standard Containers

I was going to ask why you didn't want to use these https://plastruct.com/shop/tubing-fittings/95745-vhe-20/, then read this part  : The "cap it off" is the modeling part. I prefer the thin walled metal tubes for both workability and lightness. Now I just need to find them were I don'...

Re: Probably a dumb question, but...

I saw the TMP Enterprise and Reliant at the first convention I ever went to (waaaaay back in 1983) and started getting them since there wasn't a kit of the Reliant (for decades!) and just bought the ones I liked until I got tired of trying to paint the tiny things and started scratch-building/kit ba...

Probably a dumb question, but...

How desirable are the original waves of Fasa Trek miniatures from the early '80s (and the old Ship Recognition Manuals, too, for that matter)? I know I have a small number of them that I haven't looked at in about a decade and are on my list of "need to clear out stuff I don't use/access/enjoy ...

Re: Considering a Return to Kit Production

Gah! I hate hearing that happened, Tim. Sadly, I have zero doubts they did that. Customer Service skills certainly seem to be a fading thing of the past. In general, CS certainly is disappearing, but I've NEVER had a good CS experience with Smooth-On. They've always been condescending at best. Gold...

Re: Considering a Return to Kit Production

Did you contact Smooth-On about the issues you had? Yep. Essentially the guy told me I didn't understand how to make molds and castings  , then helpfully explained that if I was going to pressure cast, of course the molds would return bubbled castings  . Which is the type of response I a...

Wow! That's extremely flattering  Glad you're happy with them :)

Re: Considering a Return to Kit Production

Hi Jason and thanks for the kind words :) Sorry to be MIA again. Right after I lost my job in Dec 2016 and was considering a return to kits, I was asked to submit some pieces for some art gallery shows. I did three pieces and have been working on two more for the last few months before being slowed ...

Re: Constitution MkIII & Variants - Alternate Paradigms debut kits

Very nice! I always liked that alt starship design :)

I wish some of the fan designers could've done the ships in the JJTrek movies, the ships in those films are just awful. Designs like these are far superior to what Whollyodd -er- Hollywood seems to be able to squeeze out in recent years.
