Yes! Once again, I'm not taking credit for the idea. As I stated earlier, it was shown by RW in his building-the-master thread.Unfrotunately the pictures are gone thanks to Crap-o-bucket's change of terms. So the concept was there almost from the very beginning.

Basecoat on the Cardie is done. It is now getting a coat of gloss so that I can put decals on it this weekend along with some detail paint

Combined, they sort of do (they're two separate parts). That's one of the reasons why I liked the first configuration and why I hesitate to cut the tips off
