Re: Sad News About Scotchyn

I can't find the words, having just read El Gato's PM today. I am devastated, but cannot delve into the particulars in a public forum. Neither can I write what this very sweet man deserves. Not now at least. I only spoke to him a week or so ago, so the reality is too much to deal with. I just forced...

Help AST by restoring your old threads

As mentioned in a previous discussion (here: https://www.allscaletrek.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4467&p=59173#p59173) I would like your help on a 'resoration project'. AST has accumulated a lot of really cool build threads, eye candy threads, with many contributing to the collective. Unfortunat...

Re: What to do about Photobucket

Okay. Thank you for checking that out for me. :) The only closed threads should be ones at the original posters request (if the reason is good enough), ones that break the 'play nice' rule or old contest entries. If you find anything weird or that you don't like do let me know (preferably via PM). B...

Re: What to do about Photobucket

Can you edit one of your older ones such as this one? https://www.allscaletrek.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=687&p=4503#p4503 The contest build threads had special permissions for them, but I don't think I altered the edit option (unless three years is the default). If so, I would like to change ...

Re: What to do about Photobucket

FYI- Right now you are only allowed to edit posts within the last 3 years. So if you've recovered files from photobucket and want to place them into the existing threads, you may want to check your user posts from the previous 3 years. Are you talking about AST? If so, I would like to change that (...

Re: If you want to help AST read this!

Maybe I should have said this is a different way. It's not about doing anything 'official' as some kind of leader, or anything involving a heavy workload. Basically, it comes down to me wanting help from the regulars (new and old members). I say regulars because hopefully that means you're already e...

Re: AllScaleTrek.com 5th Anniversary

Thank you for the praise. I will accept it, albeit primarily as a collective, on behalf of those that have helped me over the years. A little note regarding the haters that lurk and like be negative to me behind-the-scenes. I had to really force myself to start this thread, and then further still, a...

If you want to help AST read this!

I'm looking at assemebling a team of folks to get some ideas going, help me flesh out a few of my own, help out with little tasks and more demanding ones. We tried a dev team of sorts waaaaaaaaay back when, but that didn't really work out. We don't need Mods because to be honest, this place runs its...

AllScaleTrek.com 5th Anniversary

Greetings! FIVE years ago a little Trek site was formed. I can't remember when All Scale Trek.com was officially launched, but I'm going to be lazy and say September 8 (the date... I... er, joined)! So... HAPPY BIRTHDAY and HAPPY 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY to ALL SCALE TREK !!! It feels like we have 'recycl...

Re: Backup, backup, backup

yes, the host backs up daily. every 5 hours i think. i have never called upon their services for such as i have always done my own backups. as mentioned in another post, that is one of the reasons why ast came about. the lack of being able to preserve existing and ongoing data at ten-12 felt made it...
