Re: WF 2017

Off by a day.

The show is actually Saturday and Sunday, June 3-4, 2017. Most folks arrive on Friday, which is June 2.

WF 2017

Another year of WonderFest is quickly approaching, and I was wondering who was planning on attending this year.

Re: Official Current Pet Peeves Thread

Right now, my biggest pet peeve is the asshats in my subdivision who are launching fireworks IN VIOLATION OF THE SUBDIVISION RULES! This is a friggin' mobile home park, for cripes' sake. These homes are tinderboxes on pillar foundations! And you're firing off air-burst fireworks? Frackin' morons! Re...

Re: 1/2500 Xindi Primate

I'm in model limbo for a while. We're closing on our new house within the next three weeks, so while I want to unpack from WonderFest and start work on a project, I also don't want to have to re-pack again. In a week or so, I'll probably just say "screw it!" and start work on something. Ot...

Re: 2500 Oberth dimensions

I have two 1:2500-ish Oberths in my stockpile.

The first one I picked up was from Odyssey Slipways.

The second one, which I got as part of a box lot, was from Future Legends.

Both kits are 2.5 inches long overall.

Re: 1/2500 Xindi Primate

This is in my "will build" list for this year, after we get moved and I can get my new hobby room set up.

Re: Nomad Class Warp-Capable Portable Drydock

Mark Savage (Editor) and Aaron Skinner (Senior Editor) were guest judges at Iron Modeler. I got to chat with them after IM was over on Saturday night. They said they've never laughed so much at a model show, and WonderFest will be on their "will attend" list from now on. Next year, they'll...

Re: Any News?

I'm still trying to get my thoughts together, actually. Drove down Thursday, came back Monday, took Cydonia to the airport on Tuesday morning in Lansing, then I went straight back to work the rest of the day. I haven't even unpacked the boxes I brought home. First, I haven't had time. Second, we're ...

Re: Nomad Class Warp-Capable Portable Drydock

Quick update on the Nomad . . . . . I threw it in a box to take with me to WonderFest, along with my TDQ Andorian Cruiser and my TDQ Phobos. All three won Silver! And an added shock for the Nomad. Fine Scale Modeler was there, and their staff left a slip under the kit base saying that they wanted to...
