Re: Running out of shelf space

That's to Photobucket going the way it has, I can't post photos of the stash these days but yes, I understand the plight you are in. I have two spare bedrooms now bursting at the seams.... I have where possible loaded duplicates into the same box. I can get up to 3 Polar Lights 1/1000 trek models in...

Re: Eaglemoss USS Titan and USS Aventine

I'm guessing that Eaglemoss release issues earlier in the UK than the US as my Aventine arrived (via Ebay) a week or so ago. My experience is that if you are looking to buy via ebay it is worth waiting until after the initial release. Pricing seems to go through 4 stages. 1. Initial release - decent...

Re: How do you define yourself while modeler?

If committing to one choice then it would be out of box. However I do try wherever possible to add something extra to model even if its minor.

Very rare however I will attempt major surgery on a kit and my scratch building efforts have been universally disappointing.

Re: Eaglemoss USS Titan and USS Aventine

Definitely a cheaper option that getting it on Ebay. The sharks are charging an arm and a leg for the Aventine in particular. I have heard some horror stories about ordering direct from Eaglemoss though. Delays in sending, forgotten orders, damaged due to poor packing (although I also hear they are ...

Re: Eaglemoss USS Titan and USS Aventine

No camera at present but will see if I can find some screen shots. Can't recall seeing any details of the Shenzhou and the Discovery but will have a look at my usual sources. http://www.entertainmentearth.com/images/AUTOIMAGES/DCL54146lg.jpg Still looking for the Aventine --------- Nothing I can see...

Re: Enterprise D 'old' aztec decal paint matching

Krylon used to do a rattle can of duck egg blue as a kind of household decorating paint (furniture, radiators etc) but not sure if its enamel, acylic or cellulose based. Rustoleum does one in "slate blue" that looks similar (possibly a bit too dark) Also found a reference to a brand called...

Eaglemoss USS Titan and USS Aventine

Eaglemoss have kept to their word and released models of the Lunar Class USS Titan and the Aventine as special models outside of the main stream releases. These are, unfortunately, in the standard size release boxes and not the larger "specials" that have been coming out from time to time....

Re: Dragonfly aircraft from Jonny Quest

If you are lacking the time or too lazy to make and paint this, they sell it pre-finished as well.

Re: USS DISCOVERY vs TOS E THOUGHTS

And what the hell was that other series with McDowell? The ship was shaped loosely like a dragonfly... Very neat... FARSCAPE! Yes. That's it. LOL

Re: USS DISCOVERY vs TOS E THOUGHTS

Although the bridge is apparently on the bottom of the saucer. Gene Rodenberry rolls in his grave.

If they bring out a kit of it, just lip it over and then it might make sense. I agree that from what I have seen, I like this ship. The Discovery not so much....
