Re: Federation Endeavor Class - SCORE!!!

Checked through my stash and have a couple of Endeavours, three Akiras and Steamrunners plus the Ambassador prototype. None of the Romulan ships though.

Re: Porgs, cute, funny.... delicious!

Ever since return of the Jedi, the franchise has had a growing number of abominations. Ewoks, Jar Jar and now the Porgs. Wholly unnecessary and contributing to the decline (and fall) of the whole series. That being said, a meeting between a hungry Chewie and Jar Jar would have solved so many problem...

Re: Eaglemoss Discovery/Shenzhou

Was thinking of getting these until I saw the prices on Ebay......

Presently being listed for upwards of £60.00 each. And then listing the magazine separately for £10 each.....

Might as well be asking for a direct contribution to their retirement fund :D

Re: A discussion of model scales

I would certainly like to see more Vulcan ships although my interest these days has been more Enterprise/NX-01 era. Again, Eaglemoss have been helpfully releasing a few of that periods ships including the NX-01 (plus the refit), a few of the older Starfleet ships and civilian freighters, the Andoria...

Re: A discussion of model scales

My scale interests are all over the place! I try to focus on Aircraft - mainly 1/144 with a few 1/72 AFVs - 1/72 and 1/144 Figures - 1/72 mainly plus a few specialist at 1/20 to go with the Maschienen Krieger/SF3D models Ships/Subs - 1/72 (limited numbers, mainly MTB/Patrol Boats), 1/144 (subs and a...

Re: Air Brush Maintenance

Also tend to work with mainly Tamiya acrylics and some Revell and Humbrol. Mainly because Mr Colour, Gunze Sangyo are almost impossible to find in the UK. I generally thin with Tamiya own brand acrylic thinner. I usually shoot a blast of thinners through the brush after each use and before changing ...

Re: Pegasus War of the Worlds Martian War Machine

Just to confirm are we talking about the version from the George Pal movie right? I have the 1/144 diorama set with the tanks not the larger 1/48 model. If you want to use the War Machine for something other than the movie version, you might want to consider the movie Robinson Crusoe on Mars where t...

Re: Price of the 1/1000 AMT Excelsior

That's a bit better. Even the US sellers - those with lower postal charges - seem an option now. I haven't done much 1/1000 Trek kits for a while and was sort of shocked at the prices. Checked HLJ and they have the Excelsior at an equivalent of £45.00 so I guess prices have jumped a bit generally......

Price of the 1/1000 AMT Excelsior

Just saw this listed at Hannants for £54.99 and thought, that can't be right. Well looks like I was wrong. At least for UK sellers, the price on Ebay is hovering around the £52.00 mark, admittedly with free postage. Seriously? Over £50.00...... Sellers in the US are listing it at around £22 to £23 w...

Re: Memory Lane

Hmmm. I still use my 14 year-old AlienWare laptop with 4:3 screen. Just to play 20-year old computer games and use a flatbed scanner. The ALPS printer too if I ever figure out how to use it properly. Runs XP like a champ Same here with an old but still running strong HP laptop that I bought circa 2...
