Re: 1/1400 AMT/ERTL USS Enterprise NCC-1701-C

From what I have observed the best way to achieve good results with brushes is to use very thinned paint in successive layers with a wide brush for base color and a combination of mask, thicker paint and a smaller brush for the details... That is what I found too Yan. I have never used an airbrush....

Re: 1/1400 AMT/ERTL USS Enterprise NCC-1701-C

I see... I don't think that it's 'very horrible' though! Actually very decent job IMO. ;) I am asking it because I divorced of my airbrush and kicked it out of the door! The reason is that I figured out that airbrushing was making me to hate the hobby and the only way of I keep doing it is cha...

Re: Using Ink Pen for Windows?

That's a good tip. I've done something similar but usually I wipe the excess away after 5 minutes rather than letting it dry overnight. Less hard rubbing that way. Initially I tried to do this after 10-15 minutes because I was in a rush to see the result but then it started to remove part of the lo...

Re: Using Ink Pen for Windows?

Re: Show Me Your Stereotypes (Non-Hurtful)

And here it goes mine (sorry for the awful mobile picture)... Some vintage 1980s stuff... they are from a brand name that you guys for sure never heard of (unless you are from Brasil)... and it does make the whole thing still more fun for me!

Re: Did ya know?

Unfortunately I cannot move away. My job obligates to use some Visual Studio and SQL-Server so I am doomed to stay chained to Windows for a long time yet. Beside that I am very used to Adobe Photoshop, another pearl that doesn't exist on Linux. Nonetheless some time ago I installed Ubuntu 14 on a vi...
